Taking place over five weeks of competitive play, The 2016 League of Legends World Championship is where top international teams fight for the greatest achievement in League of Legends esports: becoming World Champion. Worlds 2016 will venture across the U.S., from Group Stage in San Francisco to Quarterfinals in Chicago, Semifinals in New York, and the exciting conclusion of the tournament in Los Angeles at StaplesCenter. SK Telecom T1 and Samsung Galaxy, both Korean teams competed for the coveted Summoner’s Cup to become the world champions. These teams competed and won in the quarterfinals in Chicago and the semi-finals in New York. SK Telecom T1 is crowned three-time World Champion of the League of Legends.
