Northern Spain

“The charm of exploring some of Spain’s northern cities”

The coastal city of San Sebastian has risen from a quaint fishing village to a trendy international destination. Strolling along the beach promenade in San Sebastian, its one of the most striking cities in northern Spain with its beautiful bay framed by Mount Igueldo and the island of Santa Clara. Just a few miles from the French border, much of the culture has been shaped by Spanish royalty, escaping the heat of central Spain during the hot summers. The shipyards were moved elsewhere to transform the beachfront into a place of leisure rather than commerce and this was a turning point, it was tapped as shot spot to holiday by Spain’s elite, a cosmopolitan and classy destination.

Bilbao is one of the most popular cities in northern Spain, located in the Basque Country, is a hub for culture and history. The Guggenheim Museum, designed by famous architect Frank Gehry with it’s iconic facade is full or intriguing contemporary art exhibits not only inside but outside as well.
