India's Fast Lane To The Future

The Golden Quadrilateral is one of India's largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects ever. It was started in the mid-1990's and the plan was to be finished by 2008.

It connects the four major cities of India together with a super highway; New Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai and Chennai. We didn’t want it to become a survey road story, but thematically stitch it together to give the reader a sense of place and culture. This story is a metaphor for how India is entering the 21st century and modernizing itself to be a dominant player in the global economy.
